Monday Morning Meeting Procedure:

Students will listen to a presentation prepared by the St. Regis Mohawk Environment Division: Speaker; Angela Benedict

Students will listen to the presentation about what the Environment Division does and what environmental issues the division must address.

Objectives: Students will ......
1.) Work in cooperative groups to define terms from Deep Space
2.) Create their own definition for each of the terms that helps them remember what the terms mean

Lesson Overview:
Students will define vocabulary terms using their reading passages. Students will then write the meaning in their own words.

Example:


Supernova- the death explosion of a massive star , resulting in a sharp increase in brightness followed by
a gradual fading.


When a star dies it explodes. When it explodes it gets brighter then it fades away.

Evidence of Learning- All 16 terms defined.
