Monday Morning Meeting Protocol

GREETING, MORNING BUZZ, WEEK IN REVIEW, OBJECTIVES FOR THE WEEK, SHOUT OUTS FROM TEACHERS AND STUDENTS.

SPEAKER: MR. COOK DEAN OF STUDENTS SALMON RIVER CENTRAL SCHOOL DISTRICT.

Cooperative Group Activity: TEST preparation. Students shared their answers from their test review with each other. Students justified their answers with evidence from the text.Students argued why their chose their answer and supported it with evidence.

Day One Book One New York State ELA EXAM.

Objective for the Day:
Students will demonstrate their knowledge of the ELA grade six curriculum by reading passages and answering 42 multiple choice questions.
Students will cite evidence, draw conclusions, make inferences, define terms using context clues, interpret authors point of view, and examine text to support answers to questions.

Mini- Lesson - Extended response test prep.

Day Two  Book Two New York State ELA EXAM.

Objective for the Day:
Students will demonstrate their knowledge of the ELA grade six curriculum by reading passages and answering  multiple choice questions.  Students will write extended response to questions.
Students will cite evidence, draw conclusions, make inferences, define terms using context clues, interpret authors point of view, and examine text to support answers to questions.
