Monday Morning Meeting Protocol

Objectives for Day

s/w be introduce the students to the Trash Bot Assignment Requirements.
- students must build a trash bot  not bigger than 12" wide by 12" long By 24 " tall.
- Trash Bot can not weight more than five pounds
- students must create a visual of robot ( poster, prezi, power point, video
essay)
- Present robot to group- Presentation includes name of robot, function, demonstration, explanation of building process, design challenges, explanation of who the project will benefit.

Speaker: Linda Durrant- Head X ray Technician and MRI specialist at Alice Hyde Medical Center.
s/w listen to Mrs. Durrant and ask questions about her career choice.

Mrs. Zappia- Master Review with students 13-14 1-28

Tuesday, April  29, 2014  E Day

Objectives for the Day:

Final prep for NYS Math Test- Reviewed Coordinate Plains and Finding Surface Area of shapes create on coordinate plains.

Afternoon Session 15/16 - Trash Bot Driving Question established by students.
Students create a needs to know list for their trash bots to complete before construction is started.

Mrs. Zappia Period 13/14 Pull Students for Final Review question 29-51 NY Math Review

New York State Math Assessment Day 1 Book 1. Students will demonstrate knowledge of the grade 6 curriculum . Multiple Choice Questions 1-28 in 80 Minutes

Post Test: Trash Bot Project : Students will work in cooperative groups to create a trash bot made out of recycled materials. Dimensions 12" by 12" by 24 ".

New York State Math Assessment Day 2 Book 2. Students will demonstrate knowledge of the grade 6 curriculum . Multiple Choice Questions 28-60 in 80 Minutes
