Monday, April 13, 2015 - F- Day - Chorus Day


Lesson Focus: Objectives: As a result of the lesson students will.
1.) Use multiple resources to answer questions about being an astronomer, astrophysicist, and planetarium curator.
2.) Support answers with evidence form text.
3.) Write an introduction comparing two of the three fields.

Evidence of Learning;
Students will read three articles about astronomers, astrophysicist and planetarium curators.

Questions:  Planetarium Curator

¡What is a planetarium?

¡What do planetariums curators do ?


¡What do they study for their work?

Astronomer

¡Where do astronomers work?

¡What do astronomers do ?


¡What equipment do astronomers usually operate?

Astrophysicist
¡Which two adjectives describe a good astrophysicist?

¡Why?


¡What do people need to learn if they want to be astrophysicists?


Evidence of Learning: Students will complete comprehension questions.














Tuesday, April 14, 2015 - A- Day

New York State ELA Test Book 1
Objectives:

Students will demonstrate knowledge of ELA Common Core on state ELA test.

Students will answer  42 multiple choice questions based on reading passages.

Science Lesson: Comparing and Contrasting Professions
 Objectives:
Students will use a Venn diagram to compare and contrast two career fields in space exploration.
Students will identify similarities and write a paragraph about the similarities of two career fields in space exploration.

Lesson Overview- Using the venn diagram that was made the previous day, students will write a paragraph that explains how both career fields are similar.

Evidence of Leaning- Students write a paragraph that cites the similarities in two of the three fields.



Wednesday, April 15, 2015 - B- Day



Objectives:

Students will demonstrate knowledge of ELA Common Core on state ELA test book 2
