Monday, October 20, 2014 : B- Day

8:20-9:15
 Students will make their way down to the LGI room and participate in Monday Morning Meeting. Students will listen  and actively participate in the meeting. During the meeting students will do the following.
- Greeting - In preparing for the year the students have been working on professional greetings. student have been learning to introduce themselves by making eye contact, shaking hands in a professional manner, clearly saying their names and actively listening.
- Morning Buzz- Students will participate int he interactive news segment of the Monday Morning Meeting. During this time students will learn objectives for the week, review previously taught content, current events, weather and self- reflection.

Entrance Event: Introduce the students to the idea of the Greek Fest. Introduce the students to the first STEM project of the year. The Greek Fest

Introduce the Driving Question:  How do we as students educate the community about ancient Greek culture and the contributions to modern society.


Science Lesson Objectives: As a result of the lesson students will....


1.) Work in cooperative groups to finish their global wind belts of the the earth.
2.) Use a rubric to complete Global Wind Belt  Book.
3.) Collaborate to make sure the all the wind belts are represented and presented.

Lesson Overview; Students will work in cooperative groups to complete their global wind belts books.  Students will discuss layout of the book and make sure that all parts of the requirements are being met.

Requirements:

Cover- The Global Wind Belts  By Students names
Definition of what are global wind belts
All six wind belts are in the book;  doldrums, trade winds, jet streams, polar easterlies , prevailing westerlies etc.

Evidence of Learning- Student will complete their global wind book.

Tuesday, October 21, 2014 C- Day
